Our first full day in Tokyo was spent with Taka from Tokyo Signature Tours; there are 8 of us traveling together. Taka was so welcoming! From our first email contact Taka put together an itinerary that not only gave a good cross section of Tokyo’s culture but met all our needs…ending our 8 hour tour with dinner at his family’s restaurant which has been there over twenty years…what a delightful experience; we felt part of his family. Tokyo Signature Tours is a smart choice! Taka’s follow-up and attention to detail was remarkable; he gave us a personable and knowledgeable guide through Tokyo. Taka is an incredible tour guide and our favorite that we have ever used. We like to schedule a tour guide for the first day when visiting a new country, especially a new city. We've always found it helpful to get a lay of the land, some tips from a local, and just to get your bearings. Taka is so helpful before the visit, reaching out to get some ideas on what we wanted to see, how we wanted to spend the day, to the types of food we wanted to experience. He then curated a very thoughtful custom tour based on our interests. Besides being very knowledgeable about his city, Taka is a warm, welcoming, kind, & genuine person - he connected with each one us of, 2 50-something parents, and 2 20-something kids. We like Taka so much that we ended up getting together with him later in our trip for a dinner at his parents restaurant (spoiler - his parents are as warm & welcoming as he is).
