Taka was an amazing tour guide and getting a tour with him was especially helpful for our first day in Tokyo. He showed us how to set up our suica card and navigate the subway which gave us confidence for the rest of our trip. He also curated our day based on our interests that we sent over ahead of time and he absolutely nailed it! The Meji Shrine was a highlight for us and he was great explaining all the cultural aspects of the shrine. He also really helped us with navigating my wife’s food allergies at the food market which was so amazing for us. I 100% recommend doing a tour with Taka, especially if it’s your first time because he created the perfect day, gave us confidence for our trip, and was fun to be around. Taka curated the PERFECT first day in Tokyo for us. He was extremely communicative even before our trip, and asked about our interests to make the itinerary. He showed us how to use the public transportation (which was invaluable), brought us to multiple neighborhoods we were interested in, and lead us through the Tsukiji Fish Market, which was extra helpful because of my food allergies! I felt comfortable knowing that I was eating safe foods. He also led us through the Meiji Shrine, which was one of my favorite experiences of our entire trip. We were traveling as a family with our young son, and Chiro created a perfectly relaxed and child-friendly tour for us. Instead of rushing between tourist attractions, he showed us a more local and authentic side of Tokyo, which is exactly what we were looking for. We visited a peaceful temple where he gently explained the rituals, explored quiet neighborhoods, stopped at a local park where our son could play, and even visited a convenience store to learn about everyday Japanese life. Everything felt very natural and easy-going. Chiro was extremely kind, patient, and attentive to our pace, especially with our child. It never felt like a typical tour, but more like spending time with a local who genuinely wanted to share his culture with us.
