★★★★★Taka was an exceptional tour guide for two days during my first visit to Tokyo. He was so patient while we were working out our plans before we travelled, taking lots of time on video calls and via What’s App to listen to our interests and plan out our itinerary. Rob and I both thoroughly enjoyed our first day with Taka which included Asakusa, Ueno, and Yanaka neighbourhoods, visiting beautiful shrines, a sculpture museum, many fun street markets, and a delicious lunch of ramen noodles. Taka answered all of our many questions during the day, and we asked a lot! For my second day with Taka he supported me during the Tokyo Marathon day. He picked me up at my hotel, and worked out a great plan so we could be in the right place at the right time to cheer on my husband who was running the race. I knew I couldn’t navigate the busy streets and the trains myself so having Taka take charge was so reassuring to me! The day became a family affair when Taka invited his Dad to help with the cheering and so Rob and I got to meet him too. Dipping into the family restaurant for a mini rest stop was such a pleasure and made me feel part of the local scene. Getting to know Taka and his family has been a highlight of our first visit to Japan! I highly recommend choosing Taka if you need a tour guide in Tokyo. He’s so knowledgable and really fun to be with, and he has a network of guides in other cities too. We feel like Taka has become a new friend 🫶Read full reviewShow less
